Onsite Facilities
Hastings Aquarium is accessible. It is all based on one floor with the exception of our underwater tunnel which has seven steps down to enter and seven steps up to exit the tunnel. Feel free to contact our friendly team ahead of your visit to get any further guidance. Other than this small section, it is fully accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs. We apologies but we do not have any wheelchairs for hire.
There are disabled toilet facilities, as well as baby changing facilities in addition to standard toilet facilities. These are available for both aquarium visitors and the general public to use.
Please be aware that some areas of the aquarium are kept purposefully darkened for animal welfare so please take car during your visit.
If you or a member of your party would prefer to visit the Aquarium when it is quieter, please consider visiting after 3pm. As we are an indoor attraction please note that we are busiest on wet weather days. Feel free to contact our friendly team ahead of your visit to get any further guidance.
Tickets
We offer free carer admission for one carer per one disabled visitor, any additional carers must purchase a ticket for entry.
Please note that proof is required. On arrival you’ll be asked to present your ticket confirmation and proof of disability and also for your carer if you are being accompanied. Please note that we can only accept registered carer’s cards, DWP confirmation or ESCC igo cards as proof of being a carer.
Getting here
Car parking is just next to the Aquarium in the council ran pay-and-display car park. There are no designated parking spaces for disabled access to Hastings Aquarium as this car park serves the local area and not just our attraction, however if you would like to call our team we can keep a space for you close the to aquarium entrance for your ease.
